Roleplay
TTRPG Rules of Roleplay: The Core of Immersive Storytelling
Rules for roleplay enhance the experience by allowing for creativity to flourish.
The reputation system and the “rules for rulers” system allows you to actually take advantage of your roleplay skill for mechanical benefit.
Extensive
Where as some TTPRGs may just chock-up roleplay mechanics to a single dice roll, we have extensive rules for roleplay and in-depth mechanics to make the gameplay more interactive and fun.
Social encounters
Social encounters are just as important as combat encounters and as such we have put just as much mechanical weight behind their design. This means you can actually build character around the social side of the game and not be considered “suboptimal”
Reputation
Reputation is everything, at least that’s what some people think in the real world. So if it has such power for us, why wouldn’t it also matter for our characters?
Don’t worry, reputation is more than just a single number across the whole globe representing how much people like you, that’s far too simplistic. Instead your characters reputation is broken down into likable, honourable, capable, and fearful. Plus it might actually differ from region to region.
Strongholds
Building up great forts, castles, or even cities is an incredibly fun and now you can do it.
From the local tavern to the capital city of the empire, they are all strongholds and you can build them all yourself. This is a great money-pit for your players extreme wealth plus it gives them a tangible stake in the world as well as some sweet unique abilities.
Hirelings and Followers
What’s the point of saving the city if the people don’t do anything for you afterwards? And who hasn’t wanted to hire a mercenary crew?
Well with GnG we have rules for accumulating, managing, and ordering both followers (Those who work for you because they are loyal to you) and hirelings (Those who work for you because you pay them).
Flaws
In other TTRPGs a characters flaws can often be overlooked. Usually just taking the place of the way the player roleplays them. But in GnG there are actual mechanics to your flaws, and it’s not all negative.
Ideals
Living life by strict ideals and beliefs is not something everyone does. Those that do may find specific situations more difficult to navigate however there is always a reward in the end, even if it is just discipline.
Piety
Your connection to the gods is nothing if not important. In GnG we have a real mechanical impact depending on how devoted you are to your gods ideals.
